1970 440+6 4 Spd. 4.10 Dana Page 6 |
The 440 Mill was degreased and disassembled
down to a Short Block. I removed the Stock
1967 Cam and replaced it with a New Mopar
Performance 509. A Roller Timing Chain was
installed Also.
The Carbon on the Piston
cleaned up with parts cleaner. Everything
look new except the number 1
and 6 Pistons both had some minor valve
nicks from my 7000 RPM misses
in the GTX. No big deal, thank God for
Forged Piston.
New Mopar Performance Valve
Springs where installed along with
new valve seals.
Final assembly was done and all of the 1970 Parts
are now
in place. A fresh coat if Street Hemi Orange was applied
to the Mill.
We are ready to install the Mill in the RT / SE.
