The Restoration

Up For the Challenge

My cousin Al called me one day
and told me that some guy he was talking
to at the Pep Boys Car Show said that his
friend had a Challenger For Sale. The man
described the car as having a small back window
and being a FC7 Purple car with a Six Pack and a 4 Spd.
We were a little skeptical. After Al looked at
the car he called me to verify the VIN
and sure enough it was a V-code RT/SE. We
were both very surprised. Al Decided to pass on
the car and gave the info to me. I called the owner and
struck a deal to purchase the car.

The Challenger was optioned out like a normal RT /SE.

J45 Hood Tie Downs, M26 Wheel Lip Moldings, Etc. Well
there is one thing about this Challenger that
is not like any other, the color combination
was different. The car was finished in FC-7 Plum Crazy
Purple with a TX9 Vinyl top, V21 Hood Performance Treatment
and V9Y Sport Stripe Bumble Bee in Gold Poly!!! I have
never seen or heard of another RT / SE with this color combo.

Performance options on the car are as unordinary as the color
combo. A34 Super Trak Pak 4.10 Dana w/ Hemi Suspension,

The Challenger is presently on it's way back together. The
Challenger's Engine Bay & Undercarriage has been sand blasted.
The body has been sent to the Body Man so that he can
massage the body to perfection.

Stripped and repair all the wholes the previous owners put in the engine
bay for Electronic Ignition, Coils, Brackets Etc.

Removed any undercoating in the front wheel wells so the
FC7 paint can be applied.
